The Executive enacted Law No. 31979, which promotes the temporary employment of State labor programs in favor of young people between 18 and 29 years old who are in a vulnerable situation, in order to improve their quality of life.

The rule, published in the official newspaper El Peruano, indicates that 10% of the vacancies offered by the temporary employment programs promoted by the State must be reserved for young people who meet the following conditions:

a) That they are between 18 and 29 years of age.

b) That they do not have higher technical or university studies, which is accredited with the information available in the Ministry of Education or in the National Superintendency of Higher University Education.

c) That they are in a situation of extreme poverty, which is accredited with the information in the Household Targeting System.

Likewise, it indicates that the Executive Branch, through the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion, will approve the regulations of this law within a period of thirty business days from its entry into force.

The Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion will publish the vacancies offered by the temporary employment programs through the media and its digital platforms.

The law was approved by the Congress of the Republic and promulgated by the Executive Branch.
