The Association of Women Winemakers of Peru (Agremub) will carry out the event called “Entrepreneurs: the pending agenda of the MEF in a context of recession”, in which the situation of entrepreneurs (winemakers, SMEs and restaurants) will be addressed under the current context of economic recession announced a few months ago by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Alex Contreras.

They will be present at the technical table José Silva Martinotrepresentative of the Peruvian restaurant union; Daniel Hermoza, president of the Mypes Unidas Association of Peru; and Mercedes Quinonesrepresentative of the guild of women winemakers of Peru.

This event will be broadcast on the social networks of Trade.

Peru in recession

On October 20, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Alex Contreras, recognized that the Peruvian economy is in recession. He gave these statements to the press when he entered the Hall of Lost Steps of the Congress of the Republic.

“At no time have we underestimated the situation, it was basically a very academic discussion, which we recognized at the time as unnecessary, but the situation is completely difficult. (…) It is without a doubt a recession, I have no doubt, and what we want is to get out of this recession with supplementary credit.”, expressed the head of the MEF on that occasion.

However, at the beginning of August, Minister Contreras showed a different position, denying this situation. “The economy is not in recession and has not entered one. (…) When we talk about recession, we talk about prolonged episodes”, He held then.
